Support for parents and young families: “Hello Baby” has grown
Moenchengladbach, 5th March 2010 – Around four years after the scheme’s introduction, the retail company real,- is expanding its “Hello Baby” programme for parents of older children, too. In conjunction with the “real,- family manager” initiative, families with children up to ten years old can enjoy free support.
In 2006, the real,- advantage programme “Hello Baby” saw the light of day. Its popularity was huge from the start, with a participation of around 60 per cent within the relevant target group. Consequently in 2008 the programme was expanded to include babies up to 18 months old. With 340,000 active participants, the programme quickly grew to be one of the most successful of its kind in Germany.
Now parents receive welcome gifts, discount vouchers and product samples during their child’s baby years. To this end, the existing programme was expanded to include three stages of development. The existing basic level “Hello Baby” for children up to 12 months old was supplemented by “Hello Explorers” for parents of children between one and two years old. Parents of infants and school-aged children benefit from “Hello Mini” (3 to 5 years) and “Hello Kids” (6 to 10 years).
Interested parents can immediately register for the programme at www.familymanager.de or in any real,- store. Categorisation in the appropriate programme level is undertaken automatically. Thereafter, they can seamlessly participate in the following stages of the programme. Registered participants in the “Hello Baby” programme thus take part automatically in the “Hello Explorer” programme.
As a large provider to families, real,- has offered promotions concerning the smallest family members for many years. In accordance with the real,- slogan “One trip covers all needs”, the programme was systematically integrated into the “familymanager.de” online platform. Arranged according to the stages of the programme, this offers additional age-based information on subjects such as health, nutrition, upbringing and advancement and leisure time. Moreover, the “real,- family manager” initiative supports kindergartens throughout Germany. real,- is additionally involved with the real,- MINI-MARATHON, the real,- junior cup, the biggest street football tournament series for children and young people in Germany, as well as in the promotion of sport and young people. The real,- children’s days in the summer months attract tens of thousands of visitors.
