Triple saving for the environment
Moenchengladbach, 13th January 2010 – Good news for “green smart savers”: As part of an exclusive partnership, the retail company real,- is offering its customers the possibility to reduce their electricity costs by up to 15 per cent in the future. The green electricity from electricity supplier SECURA Energie GmbH is guaranteed CO2-free generated electricity from renewable energy sources. Furthermore, real,- customers benefit from a price guarantee and a real,- shopping voucher worth €50 when entering into the contract.
The “electricity changeover ticket” is available in almost all of real,-’s 340 stores in Germany for €1. It contains an access code, which is activated during the checkout process. Using the freephone number stated on the ticket, customers can find out about SECURA green electricity, discover how much they can save for their household in comparison with the tariff of the local primary provider and, if desired, even conclude the contract over the phone. To do so you just need the number of your electricity meter, which you can find on your last electricity bill. Online registration is also possible via the www.real.de website. All necessary formalities arising out of the change of electricity provider will be taken care of for customers free of charge.
SECURA Energie will terminate the electricity supply contract with the previous provider and will receive a confirmation from that provider stating whether and, if so, when the customer can be released from their existing supply contract. The customer is then notified of the supply start date in the form of a contract confirmation from SECURA Energie. With regard to the electricity supply, no changes are required to be made to the home installation or to the customer’s electricity meter. Despite the changeover, an uninterrupted supply of electricity is guaranteed at all times. The local network operator additionally ensures this.
The offer is only valid for private customers with an annual consumption not above 30,000 KWh, and excludes heat current and heat pump heating technologies. The electricity price comprises a monthly basic charge and a price for the amount of kilowatt hours consumed. SECURA Energie guarantees the customer the price agreed upon entering into the contract for a period of 12 months from when the contract is taken up. With a contract term of one year and a monthly payment method without advance payment, the contract gives customers the greatest possible flexibility. As a bonus for making the switchover, customers will receive a shopping voucher from real,- worth €50. With a low-priced tariff, the price guarantee and a real,- voucher, real,- customers make a triple saving. Additionally, the scope of services of SECURA green electricity includes an insurance package that covers damage to home electrics and damage arising as a consequence of voltage fluctuations.
Within the framework of an exclusive partnership, real,- is enabling the electricity provider SECURA Energie GmbH to offer its green electricity across Germany to the more than one million customers who shop at real,- each day. The electricity originates mainly from TÜV SÜD-certified plants, or it is generated and delivered by solar, wind and hydroelectric power plants and other power plants in accordance with the renewable energies law. This ensures that no CO2 that is harmful to the climate is produced during generation of the electricity. The cooperation between real,- and SECURA Energie is initially limited to run until 17 May 2010. In addition to its weekly product range brochure, real,- promotes the campaign using in-store promotional teams.
